ADCS Carvalhais hosted KIGO members for the final meeting. The consortium of all the project partners discussed extensively on all the activities carried out, to define an objective and concrete evaluation of the objectives achieved in view of the end of the project. The opportunity was also taken for a discussion on the difficulties and risks encountered during the carrying out of the activities, a comparison and monitoring of the budget and finally the joint programming of the final KIGO event, the Family Bike tour, in conjunction with the European Week of Sport.
The occasion of the meeting allowed the members to consolidate relationships and spend pleasant free time together.
FAMILY BIKE TOUR
The KIGO partners have decided to carry out this latest project activity during the European Sports Week to promote healthy lifestyles and sport at a European level. The Family bike tour is a cycle ride that took place in the cities of each partner, in particular in Scalea (Italy), Cair (North Macedonia), Mirandela (Portugal) and Zaragoza (Spain), further strengthening the European spirit of sharing and union towards common goals.
In Scalea, the city of the leader IC Caloprese and the second Italian partner Squadra Terùn Scalea, the ride was also open to the local community and not just to the participants of the KIGO project. This has allowed many families to become part of a shared European project, generating a strong impact of awareness and knowledge on the topic of sustainable mobility, allowing all families to spend an afternoon of leisure, sport, music and fun.
At the end of the Family bike tour, awards were given to the participants in the various contests and challenges which were an integral part of the project activities in all the Partner Countries.
